Call for solidarity with the victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan

Today, a major earthquake hit Afghanistan. The number of people who have died is increasing hour by hour, as is the number of people who have lost everything. 

Caritas Luxembourg has been working in Afghanistan for many years. Together with three German organisations and a local partner, Caritas Luxembourg runs eight small field hospitals and a larger city hospital. Tuberculosis patients are diagnosed and treated there. 

With this new disaster hitting the country, Caritas Luxembourg could not but show solidarity. Already 10,000 euros have been released to provide the first necessities (food, medicine, etc.). Humanitarian aid is being organised with the partners sent to the area.
