Inauguration of the "OASIS DIGITAL CENTER" in Wiltz

On Wednesday 22 September, Caritas Luxembourg inaugurated the "Oasis Digital Center" in Wiltz. This new service, open to all those who wish to use it, is in line with the Caritas Luxembourg's ambition to open up digitisation to people in need in order to prevent the digital gap from widening social inequalities even further. The experience of confinement has shown that there is a real need.

The Oasis Digital Center therefore offers people who so wish the services of a team of volunteer public writers. The latter will assist people with all their administrative tasks (understanding texts, writing letters, translating, carrying out administrative procedures, etc.), direct them, if necessary, to professionals and run writing workshops to encourage autonomy. The Oasis Digital Center will also provide people in need with access to computers equipped with current software and the Internet, as well as a printer. Computer support is provided. Finally, courses on the basics of using computers and the Internet will be organised several times a week.
