A look back at the installation of the centre in Chisinau, Moldova
Tuesday 8 March 2022
Ten days ago, Caritas Moldova and Caritas Luxembourg were mobilised to set up the community centre in Chisinau to best welcome the Ukrainian refugees arriving at the Moldovan border. A gigantic job done in less than two days!
Today the community centre is full every day: women, children, but also old and sick people find a shelter for a few nights, the time to see how to continue their journey.
THANK YOU to all those who participated in the installation of the Centre and who make it work today!
THANK YOU also to the many donors here in Luxembourg who, through their gesture, allow us to help a maximum number of people.
A nice trip to the Amnéville Zoo offered by the Amicale POST Luxembourg and its donors to Ukrainian refugees hosted by Caritas Luxembourg. 181 refugees, including 97 adults and 84 children, were able to take advantage of this great offer.
With the war in Ukraine still showing no sign of abating and the situation already dramatic for the millions of Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes, the approaching winter season does not bode well.
