On Mother's Day, support mothers in need in Bangladesh!

Sunday, June 14 is Mother's Day. This is a time for all children to let their moms know how much they love her. It is also an opportunity to spoil her with a little gift.

Unfortunately, some mothers may not be as spoiled as they deserve. This is the case for many mothers in Bangladesh. In Dhaka, the capital, many of them live in slums and are employed in the textile industry. To be able to work, they often leave their young children alone during the day. Childcare facilities are therefore essential. This is why Caritas Luxembourg has set up crèches for children up to 5 years old. To date, 10 crèches with room for 200 children have already been opened. 54 home day-care centres have also opened their doors, providing additional care for 270 children. Since the beginning of the project, some 1,500 children have been able to benefit from a crèche place. Qualified staff trained in early childhood education - recruited from the local community - accompany and care for babies and young children in their daily activities.

On the occasion of Mother's Day, Caritas Luxembourg offers three meaningful solidarity gifts to support these mothers in Bangladesh. You have the choice to offer one month of crèche to a child (20€), a childcare training to a mother so that she can open her own crèche (52€) or childcare equipment for a new crèche (115€).

How does it work?

You will find the solidarity gifts below. Once you have made your choice among the three gifts offered and made your payment online, you will receive a gift box in PDF format to be cut, folded, personalised and given to your mum.
