So that no one falls into energy poverty this winter

With the approach of the cold season and following the significant increase in energy prices, Caritas Luxembourg calls, in a position paper it has just published and which can be downloaded below, on policy makers to take all necessary measures to avoid that people fall into energy poverty this winter in Luxembourg.

In its position paper, Caritas Luxembourg calls on policy makers to

1. to consider a moratorium on energy prices ;   
2. to re-evaluate and increase the social compensation of the next CO2 tax increase in January 2022.   
3. to ensure that there will be no interruptions of energy supply for people in precarious situations.
