Development cooperation

At the international level, Caritas Luxembourg has been fighting injustice, misery and poverty – and their consequences – for more than 25 years. Through its Development Cooperation programme, Caritas Luxembourg supports disadvantaged populations in about 10 countries, with a view to achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on two priorities: food security and decent work.

Bangladesh

Every year, between 300,000 and 400,000 people from rural regions, mostly very poor women, arrive in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in search of a better life.
