MALI: Food for a displaced family

As well as being plagued by an increasingly unstable security situation, with conflicts in the north of the country moving ever further towards the centre, Mali is also experiencing political and socio-economic difficulties. Economic growth is not very inclusive and has little impact on human development and poverty.

Some 8.2 million people are affected by the crisis in Mali, 5.9 million of whom are in need of humanitarian assistance.
