Continuous vocational training
Continuous vocational training, particularly in the field of informal education, is one aspect of Caritas Luxembourg's activities to promote employment.
Better access to the jobs market for people with no qualifications
In 2022, 176 people completed the "Bases de l'éducation et de l'accueil d'enfants" training course, which is aimed at unqualified staff in non-formal education services and recognised by the Ministère de l'Education nationale, de l'Enfance et de la Jeunesse. The 15-day course comprises 118 hours of training and 6 modules and is spread over 5 months. To date, Caritas Luxembourg has trained more than 1,000 people.
Caritas also offers a catalogue of professional training courses for managers and teaching staff. In 2022, 2,301 people registered for a total of 200 different professional training courses (via the www.trainingbycaritas.lu website).
Finally, the Caritas Luxembourg training department can count on a network of more than 100 experts and contributors to guarantee the quality of its offer. In 2022, a system of around thirty coaches and supervisors has been set up to support the professionalization of the social professions in Luxembourg.
