Community social work

The "Quartier" service was created 40 years ago in the neighbourhood Luxembourg-Pfaffenthal, where a large proportion of the population are still disadvantaged today.

Its aims are varied:

To promote meetings and communication between the residents of the Pfaffenthal and Siechenhof neighbourhoods
To fight discrimination and exclusion
To promote solidarity
To enhance the identity of the neighbourhoods of Pfaffenthal, Clausen, Neudorf and Grund
To look for and work with the neighbourhoods’ resources
To promote access to culture and knowledge

Improving the reception and care of unaccompanied minors

Caritas Luxembourg has just opened a new home for unaccompanied minors and has published a position paper with its demands and proposals to improve the reception and care of these young people who are above all children in need of protection.
