Youth centres

In the fight to reduce school dropout numbers, youth centres play an important role. They attract young people after school by offering them enriching, cultural, artistic and sporting activities, as well as activities to help with their school work.

At the same time, all these activities improve the quality of young people's lives.

Youth centres provide an environment that complements that of family and school, and which encourages young people to get more involved in the community and in the organisation of activities.

Caritas Luxembourg youth centres also offer awareness-raising activities for young people in different areas that affect them. In addition, the educational teams offer listening, reference, assistance and intervention services. In fact, by spending a lot of time with people, they are well-placed to detect problems linked to violence, drug and alcohol consumption and delinquency.
