Sodexo Lunch Pass campaign: €17,179 raised!

Since July 2009, Sodexo and Caritas Luxembourg have been joining forces to help families in need in Luxembourg.

The latest Lunch Pass collection campaign, in both paper and digital versions, raised €17,179. An additional collection, organised to support Caritas' actions in favour of the victims of the Ukrainian conflict, is included in this figure: €4,481 was raised for this cause.  In addition to this collection, Sodexo employees also showed their solidarity by volunteering to prepare cakes which they then distributed to customers.

The "Caritas Buttek" social grocery shops are currently in great demand. Many of the customers are unable to make ends meet at the end of the month, so they are given the right to shop there at low prices. The 'Lunch Pass' campaign provides financial support to Caritas Luxembourg's social grocery shops, offering considerable help to families in need in Luxembourg. In 2022, 5,360 people were supported through the social groceries, including 1,478 children.

Action 2023 will be launched on 18 July. As they do every year, employees of Sodexo's client companies will find a flyer in their meal voucher envelope explaining the action, as well as a pre-stamped envelope addressed to Caritas Luxembourg enabling them to return their "Lunch Pass" donations. Beneficiaries of the Sodexo Lunch Pass card (Sodexo electronic meal vouchers) will also be able to make donations by paying directly with their card on the Caritas website.
