Poverty in Luxembourg

Although the emergency services are essential, especially in the winter, Caritas Luxembourg remains convinced that its aid must not be limited to the simple material needs for accommodation, food and washing.

If we want severely deprived people to reconnect with society one day, it is important to stop them living in isolation and solitude. This is what these projects are for. They are rarely state-funded and depend on the generosity of individuals, associations, service clubs and companies.

A spiritual offer

As well as material aid, Caritas Luxembourg also offers the opportunity to participate in spiritual activities.

Physical exercises enable homeless people to improve their physical and mental condition.

Exclusion, sans-abri; motivation; football

"StreetFoot" enables homeless people to come out of their isolation and meet others.

Orientation juridique; sans-abri; précarité

Once a month and as needed, people in precarious situations can use a legal counselling service.

Housing First "Ma clé à vie"

This project aims to accommodate very vulnerable people in individual homes according to the principle of Housing First.

This activity programme is aimed at the beneficiaries of the social grocery shops.

Street Healthcare support for homeless people

Helping homeless people to become aware of the importance of taking care of their health and hygiene.

Social inclusion through work, healthy eating awareness and obesity prevention

Inclusion through work and occupation of vulnerable people in precarious or excluded situations is an important part of Caritas Luxembourg's work.
